For a long-term assignment in Vilvoorde, we are looking for a Senior Test Engineer for a .NET environment
+/- 70% of the testing will be automated testing, 30% manual.
We are looking for someone with strong automated testing skills, strong personality who can take on the role of trigger in the team and be supportive.

Duration: 6 months +
Full-time assignment
3 days onsite per week

Job Summary: As a Senior QA/Automated Tester you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our automotive software products. Leveraging your extensive experience in automated testing and your strong analytical skills, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute effective testing strategies. Your contributions will directly impact the performance, functionality, and user experience of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and execute comprehensive automated test suites using tools such as Playwright, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of test coverage.
· Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute to the creation of test plans and test cases.
· Perform functional, integration, and regression testing, identifying defects, and driving their resolution through clear and actionable bug reports.
· Utilize your expertise in SQL and JSON to validate data accuracy and integrity within the application.
· Analyze and interpret test results, providing insights to enhance the quality of the software and drive continuous improvement.
· Contribute to the adoption of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, LeSS) within the development process, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
· Exhibit excellent communication skills, working closely with team members to communicate testing progress, challenges, and potential roadblocks.
· Demonstrate a proactive and self-starting attitude, taking ownership of stories/tasks and collaborating effectively within a fast-paced environment.
· Contribute to the growth of the QA people by sharing best practices, mentoring junior testers, and promoting a culture of innovation.
· Demonstrate exceptional time management skills to meet project deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
· Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Quality Assurance and automated testing.
· Proficiency in automated testing tools, especially Playwright.
· Strong understanding of programming languages like C# and the ability to write and review code for test automation scripts.
· In-depth knowledge of functional testing methodologies and practices.
· Familiarity with Azure Pipelines & Azure DevOps is highly preferred.
· Experience in the automotive sector is highly preferred.
· Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, LeSS) and their implementation.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for finding and resolving complex issues.
· Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English; proficiency in French and German is preferred.
· Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team & across teams and be proactive in contributing ideas and solutions.
· Strong analytical skills to assess test results and identify trends and patterns.
· Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Enthusiasm for automation and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
